1965 Chevrolet Corvette

1965 Corvettes feature significant changes over the previous two years. This year marked the introduction of the big block, which brought side pipes and a distinct hood design along for the ride. Both have become popular accessories for all C2 owners, so you can’t always rely on them for model year or engine identification.

The standard hood was smoothed out, leaving no trace of the 1963 Corvette’s faux air intakes. The two horizontal fender vents were replaced with three vertical segments, which were now functional and helped to evacuate heat from the engine bay. The rocker panel trim returned to the 1963 style, this time with paint between the ribs like the 1964 cars.
