Hertz Corvette Z06 Fleet Hitting Sales Channel Soon

Hertz Corvette Z06 C7

Introduced to celebrate Hertz’s 100th anniversary in 2018, all 100 copies of the Z06 will be available at select sales locations.

Hertz and high performance have gone hand-in-hand since the Sixties, when the rental car company paired up with Carroll Shelby for its first rent-a-racer, the Shelby GT350H.

For its 100th anniversary in 2018, Hertz introduced the 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette Z06 to 14 cities around the United States, each painted in yellow with black stripes, and limited to just 100 copies. And just like the GT350H after its time at the rental lot, all 100 Z06s will soon be heading to the sales lot.

Just like the Z06 at your local Chevy dealership showroom floor, the Hertz Z06 has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 making 650 horses and 650 lb-ft of torque, linked to the rear 20-inch black aluminum wheels via an eight-speed automatic. The only difference from the usual Z06 is that it has custom Hertz badging, a black interior with yellow stitching, the aforementioned yellow and black paint, and a Hertz Centennial plaque.

As for when the Hertz Z06 will hit the company’s Hertz Car Sales channel, all we know as that it should be soon. But just like the rental counter days, the Corvettes will only be available at select sales lots around the country, likely for a fairly decent chunk of change. We can only hope this won’t be the last time Hertz and Corvette share the same sentence.
