Last Call for Laguna Blue and Shark Gray C7 Corvettes
If you’re looking to order a Laguna Blue or Shark Grey C7, you only have until May 12 before your ‘Vette out of luck. After June 24, Chevy will be ceasing production of the two C7 hues that will be discontinued moving into the 2017 models.
According to GM Authority, the production of 2017 models will officially begin on June 24 as well. Chevy is expected to announce new color options and other changes at the annual National Corvette Museum on April 28.
News of any changes to the C7 Z06, however, will likely come later down the road, as 2017 model year production is not expected to start until September 5, 2016. Of course, the most anticipated news for Corvette fans is an official word from Chevy on when and if a mid-engine ‘Vette will hit the streets.
