Torch Red C5 Corvette Z06 for Sale

C5 Corvette Z06 for sale is a Torch Red, titanium exhaust-packing, time capsule from the early 2000s.

The C5 Corvette has aged pretty well, all things considered. In fact, it would seem that the jump from C4 to C5 is one of the biggest in the history of the Corvette brand. It introduced the LS family of engines, and, overall, still feels like a rather modern vehicle. It’s also the clear foundation upon which C6 and C7 have flourished on.

The Z06, in particular, in the pinnacle example of the C5. It features an upgraded version of the LS1 engine, dubbed LS6, and a bunch of lightweight, track-focused goodies, including that titanium exhaust, which sounds very racey, even today. We aren’t alone in thinking that the C5Z is particularly special. Specialty vehicle insurance group, Hagerty, thinks it’s the one to keep an eye on, with values poised to go up.

Of course, a lot of Z06s have been driven hard, those track-focused intentions didn’t go to waste for many Corvette enthusiasts. However, the tidier, low-mileage examples are seen as appreciating assets. It’s also not too late to get into the game, and this particular example, listed for sale by Corvette Forum user MeatBall49, may just be the right one to buy into.

FS: 50th Anniversary Torch Red Z06 with less than 24,000 miles. Original except for the AFE intake. I am the 3rd owner. 1st owner had it for 13 years and barely drove it. 2nd owner had it for a year. I bought it with 16,600 miles. It has been lowered by the previous owner (which gives it an awesome stance). Don’t want to part with it, its an awesome daily driver but looking to get some land and will need a truck.

So, other than that AFE intake, and being “lowered by the previous owner,” which we suspect means it’s been lowered on the stock bolts, it’s all original. From the pictures, this C5Z appears to be in excellent condition, which matches the very low odometer figure. The car is located in Huntsville, Alabama and has an asking price of $26,000 OBO. It’s a decently large ask for a C5 Z06, but for people looking for the near-perfect example, this has got to be it. So, head over to the for sale thread and make an offer, why don’t you?
