... Had to break out the shoehorn....I was about to put a pair of Lanzar DC 5's into my door panels, when I rememberd I had some Free Air 8" subs down in the basement id been saving for a rainy day.....Hmmmm, looks like i'll be having some serious midbass soon
Good job tho, it looks like yer ahead of me today!

My 6 1/2's are an easy fit. I test fitted the mounts last night. Looks like i wasn't paying too good attention when i made the front mounts. I see now that the inner door panel has a bend at one point. Back to the laboratory to belt sand 1/4'' to nothing over the top 1 3/4'' of the front mounts.
This delay could set me back a week

Heh, youd be amazed what a little bit of sanding and some paint will do.
I have a couple of crappy 8's right now to put in my door panels, they JUST fit between the top of the door arm molding, and down to where the bottom carpet comes to the bottom door railing, with like, VERY little margin for error. I figure, if i am going thu the effort of hacking up the door, I might as well go all the way. The door panels are already in my office. torn apart, ready to put in some cold cathodes and some LED replacements

I'm too busy at this time to commit to any extra work. It is a simple job that i'm sure you could do with a simple jig saw.

I hooked both door panels up in the house to some Altec Bookshelf speakers with the mids turned off, and put about 150 watts on them per side, actively crossed over, and they were stupid loud. Im sure they'll get over my exhaust at the very least.
Im really just screwing around, if you read this post 6 months from now during a search, by all means dont do what I did.

What are you going to do about the rattles
in the door? I can only imagine how badly that will rattle the door lock and door pull rods.
