American International is the manufacturer. The will be selling it through all of the national outlets Best Buy, etc. Now you can get it from LogJam...$189. Mine will be at the house by Tuesday. On the LogJam site is the installation diagram...just three plugs (one is into the IPOD)
From: Chino Hills, Ca. You are completely safe with me, I'm a good screamer.
Someone please help a dummy out. I'm a little dense this morning.
American International is releasing an interface soon, but doesn't do retail. Logjam has something similar out on the market already and is available at stores. Is this correct?
I want a direct interface, with factory radio control capability, that allows my Nav/XM/ CD changer to work. What do I need? My kid part-times at Best Buy, if they have it, I'll get the discount and free install. ASAP.

Martin,
sorry for the confusion. Logjam is selling the AI product now. AI has started the rollout (Jogjam being one of the early retail internet vendors) but it has not gotton to stores like Best Buy, tweeter, etc...should be about a month for Best Buy to have this prodcut (so says AI).
AI says that this prodcut is all you need.
have your kid check w/the Corp folks at Best Buy to see when they will offer. Ai said that BB will be one of the retail outlets.

Thanks for the clarification, I just misread the thread....whew! He said he will check with the BB people today at work. If you like, I will advise.
Please clarify which factory audio setups are covered by this kit. Sucessful full-iPod integration solutions up to now were mainly for audio system with Navigation or aftermarket units. I have a 2005 1SX stereo setup and would like to know if this kit will work. Thanks.
This sounds pretty good. It will be interesting to hear how it works. I would like to use my iPOD in the car, but the XM is working fine for me and I don't want to have the dash ripped apart unless there is a really good reason.
I currently have my iPod hardwired through the GM-AUXV3 adapter. It works well, but has it's limitations. I'm interested to see if I would like this interface better.
Most of the Wall Street analysts have predicted Apple will introduce a new iPod by summer, and a few believe it will have built-in BlueTooth. So regardless of how well this interface works, I will probably wait to see if that develops. Don't want to tear the dash apart 3 times in 6 months!
Please, who every does do this install, please take the time to do a DIY with plenty of pictures and as much detail as possible. I have been waiting for an Ipod interface since I purchased my C6....Bob
This looks like the real deal. I'd like to see what the NAV screen displays once this device is added and if the iPOD responds to "touch" commands via the screen.

What good is bluetooth going to do? Just cause a new ipod could possibly transmit it, how exactly would the C6 receive it?
