I don't know if that's an update issue on my IPOD, or some other issue, I haven't heard of anyone else having that problem. The sound quality is excellent...much better than the FM transmitter I was using. I just wish my IPOD wouldn't shut itself off... My vette's at the dealer right now...I'll do more experimenting when I get it back...
Thanks very much! That's great.
The guys at AI told me a few weeks ago that they would send an e-mail when they completed their testing, but I haven't heard from them yet.
I really want this, because MP3 CDs are a pain in the butt, and I was very disappointed with the programming on XM - and FM - well, it's FM. It's not great on a long trip.
The best answer is to be able to bring the music that is in my rack at home, in the car with me.
Sooooo, I finally had the Neucleus product installed for the SECOND time today and it still does not work. Unlike the first time I put it in and didn't work, I called Logjam electronics who said it was probably a faulty unit. This time, I called the company that makes it and Ralph at Tech Support (great guy) stated that this product will NOT work with the a radio that HAS NAV but NOT XM. It will work with cars with XM units already installed and those cars that DO NOT have Nav.
He also stated that he will be working the issue next week. He's actually getting a 2006 Corvette to work on and figure out the software problem.
So, until then, it looks like I'll have to stick with my MP3's and FM modulated Sirius radio for now.....
Haven't chimed in on this subject in awhile but I've been doing
some testing.
Put the X2i back in 3 weeks ago and started having low/dead battery
every few days. Made sure shutdown ok, etc. Car would start ok one
night and the next morning would be dead. Jumped the C6 and all was
ok for awhile but would happen again. I started carrying a battery jump
box just in case it hit when I was away from the house -- and it did.
A week ago I removed the X2i and no more low/dead battery. Don't know
if it's my X2i unit or what but I'm not sure what to do now. Sure getting tired
of messing with it.

Well, that sucks! I haven't had any battery problems (yet?) with mine. My ipod seems a little quirky at shutdown at times but seems to always shut off (eventually...some length of time under 2 hours). Haven't seen any evident battery drain. For the most part it works fairly well. Still haven't had a chance to take any pictures. The aux in has given me no problems with a Sirius Starmate replay. Passive mode works...active mode works but is quirky...I have a hard time advancing to the next song. Also the "buttons" on the nav screen say different things at different times...sometimes preset 1 will say "ipod"...sometimes preset 4...sometimes both...sometimes other ones are highlighted. Regardless of what the presets say button one always toggles thru XM, Ipod, Aux-in. In addition occasionally when listening to the ipod and trying to switch fm or cd the head unit seems to freeze up...I think this is avoided by switching to xm before switching sources. Lastly at times I get a rythmic static...this seems to go away if I pick up or move the ipod...strange.
So overall, it works with my 2006 MN6 Coupe XM/Nav but is quirky. If you must an ipod/aux-in now it's functional...if you can wait a month or 2 (or more?) till they work the bugs out that may be a better bet. Again, I'll try to find some time to take and post some pics.
