Mini Reversing Camera
I bought a mini reversing camera to use with my AVIC system. Its a wireless system with a small antenna. The control box mounts up front with the camera in the number plate area.
I installed it with the battery pack but it only lasts for a very short time. I'll need to run a power wire back there.
Looking at the specs, it runs at 8V. As the car runs at up to 14V should I install some sort of voltage regulator in line? If so where do I get one? Radio Shack?
I'd appreciate any advice from the experts.

you could make a regulated power supply with a voltage regulator and a cap.

Thanks. By that do you mean on the ground side of the circuit?

Email me and I'll send you a diagram. I don't have a host to post a pic.

Finally got round to fitting the camera. Your diagram helped a lot and it's working perfectly. Thanks
