Is this a Good Sub?
Your box is so sweet. Can you say HEAVY DUTY..
Thank you for posting your pictures.
Do you think I could do it out of plexiglass for the top and mdf for the
bottom?
I didn't realize how much 30 degrees would change the look. Wow

I'm not sure of the best way to join plexi to mdf, although I'm sure its done a lot. In this instance its hard because of the difficult angles at the top, but if you had a thick sheet for the top and then went into mdf on the bottom, you'd just drill holes and countersink the holes and then screw it together?
Easier: why dont you make a MDF box and then over the mdf top sheet (Where the woofer goes), place a plexiglass sheet cut to the same size - cut out a hole for the woofer and then it will be easy to drill together because its more of a sandwich. You could even lift it .5" with spacers for a neat effect and throw your LEDs in there. The woofer can even be mounted below into the mdf, below the plexi, and then have that website cut a grill out of it for you.

At the top of the peak where the 16.5 and 7.12 meet is a 90.2 degree angle.
The angle on the right where the 7.12 and 11.2 meet is 100.42 degrees.
This should make the difference in angles between the 16.5 piece and the 11.2 piece is about 10.22 degrees.
Based on that, I would imagine that the difference in depth goes from 7.12 inches to just over 9.13 inches where the 11.2 meets the vertical at the 1.75 number.
The middle of that would be about 8.125 inches if my math is correct.
The overall depth for mounting a sub would depend on the drivers diameter, it's actual depth, the magnet diameter, and it's mounting location. If you have the driver specs, I can probably figure it out for you.
Let me know if this helps, or if my math is completely hosed.

Hey Scott, how about some detailed measurements for that? I do like the idea of a plexi-glass top...with mirrors in the inside

Kale, You have your sub pointing to the rear and Subooer has it going to
the rear at 30 degrees. If I reversed it to point to the front like 20 or 30 degrees, Does that effect the SQ any?
Nice sub box, When you take it out you could use it for a School project for a kid. Kinda looks like a Volcano. You could name it Volcanobox and get rich selling them.. :-)

I had to read this couple times, to get your point. Didn't think about doing it that way.
You could do a lot of cool LED's lighting this way.
I'm going to some pondering for sure.
Thanks
How about taking something like this (pic below) and wraping it on the
inside of the plexi, glowing outwards? With your favorite color. Red for me.
