Slowly kill something? No. Could a crossover fail? I've never heard of one failing...but it's a part just like anything else.
Well they didn’t slowly go out, they just stopped playing. I’ll dig into it tomorrow and see what I find, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t overlooking something simple
Robin, do you know how to get the Bluetooth working through the new speakers? I’m assuming it has something to do with it being a bose system stock but I could connect to the call but not hear the person talking. Bluetooth for music works like it should
On this...I can't really help you. For mine, I left 1 (only 1) factory speaker connected and it was the center speaker inside the dash. That just happens to be the OnStar/chime speaker. As long as that is connected...it's not amplified (from what I can tell) and should work as long as the aftermarket HU is running the factory plug in. Much beyond this...I'm afraid I'm no help.

I didn’t disconnect mine but maybe the previous owner did. It did seem like my chime noise came from my door speakers before I did the swap though.
So it was the terminals falling off the speaker connection that was the issue. They’re all hooked back up and good to go. The only thing different now is they are not as loud as when they were previously hooked up. No idea why this is. I did have to use smaller terminals as the ones I got for the 12ga wire were too loose, I had to cut the wire back a bit in order to fit it into the terminals I put on. Would this cause that or would it be something else?
