Default Double din install in a c6z

Ok finally got tired of the factory navigation crap unit and got me a pioneer avh 2300nex which is a double din just like the factory stereo is

I got it mounted and now need to figure out what wires need to be spliced to get the stereo working, now I heard that u need some type of module for the c6 computer/voice and Bose speakers/amps to work properly, can someone point me in the right direction and tell me exactly what I need to buy ( or not buy )

Yes, you'll want to get an interface module, this one is the most commonly used one. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_541RP5....html?skipvs=T PAC also came out with a new interface that also works that has some minor advantages over the RP5-GM11, but it's pretty pricy. https://catalog.pac-audio.com/catalo...faces/gm1a-rst With either of these you basically set the interface uo to work with the particular brand of stereo that you have, wire the wiring harness that came with the stereo, to the harness that came with the PAC interface, then plug the interface into the stereo, then plug the other connections on the interface to the stock stereo connectors of the Vette. Here's the install manual from the PAC RP5-GM11 if you'd like to read it. https://catalog.pac-audio.com/catalo...ement/rp5-gm11

Also, it you want to be able to receive XM radio, you'll need to get one of these https://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXV...0V1-Tuner.html If you do get this I can tell you how connect it to your stock XM antenna so you wouldn't have to use the one that came with the tuner.

Typically you attach a wiring interface/harness to the new head unit before installing it. That makes it plug and play with your cars wiring harness when you are ready to install it, with no need to splice into any of the cars wiring. I used the Pac Audio RP5-GM11 that Madsonp mentions in his post.
