Is he still around? Bought a Kenwood rig from him a while ago and it went ghost on me yesterday. Want to see if he can repair or recommend replacement. I don’t see him listed in the vendor listings. Anybody in contact with him lately? Thanks
Whats wrong with it ? Is it completely dead ? Have you done any trouble shooting such as checking the fuses etc. ? What interface are you using ? It could be your interface went bad, which has been known to happen.

Dennis is no longer around. His business went under and he left a lot of forum members with out goods they paid for. Last thing I'd seen posted was that he was working at a car dealership.

Ok, thanks Pete. I edited it and removed the link. Point was, there were a lot of threads of unhappy customers looking for goods they purchased and never received, and they couldn't get Dennis to give them a straight answer or return their calls. I'm not wishing bad on the guy, hopefully he is doing well, but I too purchased from him once and then ended up regretted it.

Yep Fred, there's sure some bad people out there, I don't know whatever happened to the OP but here's what I suggest he does. First I suggest he remove the head unit from the car and doing a bench test of the head unit itself by removing the interface and hooking power directly to the head unit, as I personally suspect the head units fine, but his interface went bad. If you may or may not recall, PAC had interfaces (RP5-GM11's) that couldn't handle the added power needs of some Double DIN systems, so they later included the statement in their installation instructions about adding the jumpers on the Yellow and Black wires that basically bypasses the interface and sent power directly to the head unit. If this wasn't done, there was a chance the interface could get overloaded and go out, which a number of them did, however, if you bought an interface before the revised the instructions, you wouldn't have know about these needed jumpers, and adding the jumpers once the unit has gone out will not fix it, as the interface is toast at this point. PAC has since added these jumpers to their newer RP5-GM11's from the factory, so it's not an issue anymore with the newer ones. So if he has an older RP5-GM11, that's why I suspect his head unit's fine, and he just needs to replace the interface, bench testing the head unit will help him determine if that's the case. Attached is a copy of PAC's instructions addressing the jumpers (see page 5).
It appears that they've also since recently redesigned the RP5-GM11, this is what the newest ones look like now. It appears it no longer comes with the radio antenna adapter.
