Retired pilot.... 23 1/2 years in the Coast Guard/Navy....17 years airline. I've been playing with Corvettes since 1961 and currently working on a 58, 63, and 66 as well as 55, 60, 61, 63, and 68 Chevs. Been saving parts and projects to work on for years and now that I'm retired, I don't seem to have as much time as I thought I would.

Next Sunday will be the fourth anniversary of my retirement after 36 years as a Chicago police officer. If I had it all to do over again, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. 36 years of vaudeville and then a pension

Hey Illinicane, funny you were teased about the McDonalds thing. My stepson was just watching 'Big Mac - Inside McDonalds' on CNBC, he asked me if I knew Ray Kroc (McDonalds Founder), did I have a degree in "Hamburgerology" (It really IS a school, guys)

The answer was yes ....to all of those...LOL

After 10-12 years in various restaurant business jobs in my teens/twenties, I am now a regional sales, training, and business development manager for a major air conditioning and heating producrts manufacturer .....after being a HVAC contractor, then a marketing manager for an HVAC distributor.

Oh yea, I took a break to be a sportswriter for a while....in between.
GEEZ I don't know what I wanna be when I grow up!

Started out in the US Coast Guard....Radioman...recruited by CIA stayed for a while until living overseas got old then left....worked in Telecom/IT commercial Business in DC area briefly, then after 9/11 re-entered Government Service working for DHS .... (actually worked for US Customs and Border Protection, before DHS was orgnized), still in CBP, I am the Director for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for the National Datacenter and all its IT systems and network connections. Thats all.... I really cannot complain, I have had many exciting times and seen much of the world. Actually witnessed if not part of making history....that is cool.

After 40 years in the heavy truck business (The last 12 in sales) I am retiriing at the end of this month. I think that I have enough garage projects to keep me busy for a long time.

At age 45, I just resigned from my position as VP Manufacturing for Goodyear's North American Tire Region. (By the way, the new Eagle F1's are great tires)

Now....having fun with my 1st vette. Bought it in January and have been tinkering with it since.

Biggest challenge has been my wife: "when are you going to go get a job?"

Bob, good to know someone who knew Ray Kroc. The man was a genius, and his legacy lives on today.

I also have my degree as well in Hamburgerology.

Nice car as well, and glad to meet you.

No...There's another Firefighter here. Sacramento Metro Fire Dept. 23 years. Great career but will look forward when retirement comes enabling me to play with the Vette much more than I do now.

Also Vice President of the Firefighers Union representing over 1600 plus Firefighters! Which is more probably more of the reasons of why I have no time! Also very proud of our Unions attempts to keep the men & women of our work force safe and fairly compensated.

I'm a VP Sales for a 24 year old IT company that sells barcode / RFID software. We provide a solution that enables our customers to create a centralized / compliant labeling solution. Our sweet spot is anyone within the manufacturing, distribution, or logistics space. If anyone out there needs help send me an IM.

Interesting. My company is working with a dallas-based RFID company for the international space station. RFSAW I believe is the name of the company, my NASA customer goes to Dallas quite often.

Not us, but they most likely embed or bundle our software with their solution. My company is actually based out of Portsmouth, NH just north of Boston. The name of the company is Loftware. I live in Dallas and run the sales team globally.
