'63 SWC - from the junkyard to cover of Vette magazine
After about 1.5 yrs of great work by Heartland Customs this DOA '63 made the April '17 cover, table of contents and 4 page spread in the latest issue of Vette.
Took her out Saturday and put over 100 miles on her since the weather was nice.
First C2 I've ever owned and driven. What a fun car!
Upon arrival at Heartland Customs in OK

I was reading about your car the other night. Very beautifully done. You have every right to be proud of it! Good to know that you are not afraid of driving it either!

Just had some side bolsters added for some additional fit & personal preference. Tried to keep it close to OE with a small tweak. Seats from Snowden Supply.
Heated seat element.....if I was doing it over I would have also opted for cooled/ventilated seats.

LOVE the color combo. Very unusual and classy. It looks period- correct for the car and contemporary at the same time in the sea of silver and gray cars out on the roads. Nicely done!!

It's a custom SPECVETTE chassis by Roadster Shop available from Heartland Customs. 10 gauge boxed steel frame rails & custom crossmembers. Very pleased with the ride and handling.

Here are some back interior pics as requested along with a link that has more details on the build with 30 or so pics.

Kicker sub that sounds great with the RetroSound radio and kicker speakers up front. Very easy magnetized removable cover if you ever needed to access the fuse panel.
Sorry this is a little blurry
Something the team at Heartland Customs did that was a very nice added bonus. A 1 piece Alcantara headliner.
One last pic that shows textured paint on the glove box that was a nice tough to match the leather on the dash. I'd highly recommend Jeff Page and his team at Heartland Customs if you're ever wanting a restomod or a full restoration done and not doing it yourself.

Stunning '63! Outstanding attention to detail. There's only 12 chances per year to get on the cover of Vette Magazine so you are in very elite territory and well deserving.
