Doug, that's been a long, long wait, but it's still great news. Hopefully you'll have that beautiful beast back on the road for summer.
How is that transmission swap progressing?

Thanks Gary,

The TH-350C is in this afternoon. At the request of Brad Goetz of Harbor Vettes, I'm going to Erie in the next couple weeks to check out the progress. I will take the M21 back over to the transmission shop and have that gone over then stowed. As mentioned, the brake pedal is in Erie. Still lots to get done. Minor accident date: May 14, 2022

I'm seeing this as a race between repairs and my ability to safely drive Corvettes.... The Trans swap will definitely improve my chances of winning. No Doubt!

Built to handle 540HP

My update on "Just Arrived" Fiberglass Panels: Reported PM Panel condition of Quality from Coffman Corvettes:

Brad Goetz @ Harbor Vettes Fiberglass Magic, LLC

"As good as Harbor Vettes has ever seen. Parts thickness and panel assembly almost as good as Factory".

Press Molded Quarters

Press Molded BB Hood and Assembled Front Clip

Have finally arrived at Harbor Vettes.

Doesn't look like much, BUT the TH350 is going in prior to the clip and hood. Today!

I was at Coffman Corvettes in Mansfield OH in March to get a new vert top on my 58. Josh gave me a great tour of their facility including the fiberglass panels section they bought from Corvette Image. Very impressive operation with excellent quality!

M21 is out! Exposed pilot bushing does not look good... This will be gone with the transmission conversion..

Thoughts on a potential vibration source?

Well, it certainly appears that it could be the source of a vibration. Wondering if possibly the bell housing wasn't dialed in properly with installation of the 4-speed transmission. Never seen a pilot bushing worn that bad.
Enjoying following the progress with your car.

Ted

Just an update: Coolant lines, final trans bolt-ons assembled, running car by next Tuesday. Traveling to Erie on Thursday to pick up saved parts and confirm progress....

Tan leather boot is being made....Made the decision to utilize the manual console. Automatic Consoles like many Corvette parts are cost prohibitive.....

Progress over the last 3 months after receipt of the PM body Panels

Transmission is in! (Attachment) Much more involved than I originally had thought.

Radiator, setting PM body panels, wiring reinstallation, paint.. Progress visit to Harbor Vettes on Thursday 7/13/2023
