I just got the car of my dreams... a vette! The frame is a 1974 stick car, and the body is a 1981 T-Top car!
I had my 77 Camaro in a shop for 5 1/2 years.. waiting on a full restoration. I made the mistake of pre-paying the guy, so you can only imagine the rest... Well, I finally got tired of waiting and started to press him (just a little). He told me that if I wanted it.. I could have his Corvette project (with like 5 corvettes worth of parts) and we'd be even. I told my wife that it was the only way I could probably ever come close to getting my money back.. and getting the Camaro back as well. I did not tell her that I have wanted one of the C3 vettes ever since they came out!!! I was a kid telling my grandmother that "one day I would have one of these things" it's just too bad she passed away before getting to go for a ride. Sorry for the long post, but you'll be hearing a lot more from me in the future, I am a member of the 67-72 truck board and I know how great these forums are for the members!!

You pressed him a little after 5.5 years? Yeah, it was time.
Yea most of the time it's pretty hard to rattle my cage, I figure a bad attitude begets a bad attitude, I also believe the squeky wheel gets the grease, but you can be reasonable with your demeanor, but I believe here I would have lost control!
Congrats on your C-3 aquirement and good luck with your project
