Default No waves from C5 or C6

I've noticed that very few C5 types seem to know about it. I haven't seen enough C6s to tell. My theory is , that around here, many of those cars are on lease. Not really Corvette guys ..but they are guys driving Corvettes. To be honest with you. I don't wave at any Corvettes now unless it's an older one. The C5 guys look at me like I'm some sort of pervert.

Another small observation. I have talked to a lot of Corvette owners over the years....not one of them knew of the Corvette Forum. Don't make the the mistake that everyone knows as much as you do.

Just my opinions.

Most of those new to Vettes and are driving the new ones are not experienced in such behavior. Besides they probably think your in a foreign car.

...if these "newer" Corvette owners know about "waving" and they wave to me, I'll wave back-otherwise I don't waste my "wave" anymore.

Many of these newer Corvette owners used to give me that "Do I know you?" look when I used to wave.

This is exactly correct.

Anyways, most C5/C6 owners are too busy talking on their cellphones, drinking coffee, and holding on to their toupees (if it's a convertible)

kind of like a im better than you thing to me and honestly i dont wave to c4,c5,c6 becuase i am better than them and dont really like the new vettes too square but i must say the 2005 is comming back to a fimiliar face more rounded wheel wells fast back window.what about the new stang i think they are doing what corvette did with contour and brought some contour back from the old shelby still crap but looks better. i cant wait till vette comes back with the whole c3 body only with 2005 tech i heard rumours of an anniversary edition thats suppost to look alot like a c3 any one else heard this ?

Same way around here. no wave from c4 - c6, I think the c4, c5 guy are just pizzed because most of the c3 are worth more then their newer rides. The c6 guys are in a different class.

I agree, I guess it does depend where you are to some degree.....here in Australia I don't think you would be short for a wave from any gen corvettes...however, if the person is a pretentious ****** then who cares if they don't wave.
Don't let it bother you....feel good in the fact that your in the best gen corvette by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! c3's rule!

i get a bunch of waves but i have to initiate.. I am beginning to think that we need to slap around dealers to give the briefing when they sell a vette, wether new or used that its an "unwritten rule" that you hafta wave at other vettes!

I hear Ya ! I don't think that a lot of C-5 owners even know about 'The wave' I was out twice last week on fairly long drives and passed four or five C-5's and not a single wave in return. Sad

The wave is more of a "hot rod" thing around here not so much other vettes. If someone has put some time & effort in their ride they give the "wave" or "nod" to others.....Bob

There are Corvette owners- and people who drive Corvettes.
Corvette owners will usually wave.

Pauls right, most of the new corvette owners haven't a clue what "The Wave" is.... here at the shore we get the weekend vette guys with the jewelry, cigars, manicures and the matching corvette clothing.....
very entertaining.....
