Curious what the general age category for this group is. I'm guessing I'm one of the youngest here but curiousity is killin me, being that I'm only 20. I see you guys mentioning 15 - 20 years of stuff and I'm just like I was only born back then!

I wish the supporting vendors would support an AARP discount?

Been in love with c3's since the first one I saw in '78 (I was 9). I now have one (9 months now) - finally got my head on right (at least my wife did) and got to wanting to fool around with cars again. I grew up in an Itialian car household (dad likes Alfa Romeos) and they are labor intensive. I moved quickly to GM products. In the late 80's & early 90's, I was big time into 4x4 stuff and tore up way too much stuff - that is where I learned most of my little retained knowledge. One thing that I did retain that is not desireable is no fear when tearing into something and then not being able to put it back together - you would figure that I would have learned my lesson by now.

Any way - I am / will be 37 on Feb 15

I was the youngest running with the corvette club yesterday. The majority of them were over 40 so I was a total youngin. Some of em were mentioning they'd be in the club for 20 years so I was pretty much bug eyed and drooling over their pretty '63s and new C5s and C6s. I was the only C3 among the group, and also the loudest.

Which Vette Club is that, COCSD? I could've sworn they had some C3 members in that group...

I can totally empathize with you. I'm 25. When I was in the Cyclone Corvette Club (in Ames, IA) I was always the youngest guy there, and generally had the oldest corvette at meetings. Everyone was really nice, but I was always hoping for more autocrossing events and less wine tasting trips and parades. Guess it was just their thing...although that does explain why none of those who did parades drove a non-hydraulic clutch car. Never again.

NCOCC, North County Corvette Club.

One guy had a '56, there were a few (3 or 4) C2s, I was the only C3, there was one C4, and a bunch of C5s and C6s. Extremely nice bunch of people, though!

My next project car will most likely be a little Triumph GT6. Awesome little cars, they look PERFECT for autocross due to their weight and size. I wonder if there are any Triumph clubs...

I'll hang myself out on a limb here but from what I've seen the Corvette clubs tend to be made up of couples 45 and older who generally own C-5s. C-2 and C-1 owners also tend to be older probably since the value of these cars is also higher and those were the cars they remember from their youth.
The C-3s and C-4s are the only Corvettes left for the rest of us IMO. Economics and the fact that a C-3 was the car to own when I grew up (and still is today ) is why I own a C-3.

I am 47 but feel about 28. Had the vette since new in 1980. Almost finished with a frame off rebuild and mod hopefully in March. I love it when all the cute young ones (17-26) come and drool over my car especially when they are in their boy friends ricer.

The C3 is one hell of an attention getter. Its definitely got to be the curves and lines on the car. Women just love this car. All I can say is hang on to it forever.
