I would take an '80 since their were fewer made than the '79. It might make a difference on the value later in life. I owned an '80 back in '85, but it was a piece of junk. It was back when I was very "uneducated" on vettes. Learned a lot since then.

79 but that's just me. I do like the 80 rear spoiler I may add it someday.

I own a '78, but like the all molded in features of the '80 nose.

I have a fully stock '78 L82. I think my wifes Lexus is quicker and faster!
emission requirements in those years just sucked all the performance out of these cars.
The only "ponies" under the hood are miniture ponies!
I was talking about the ponies that we put into them. I bet half your lexus can fit under that hood.

I would choose the 1980 Corvette over the 1979 because of the styling of the front and rear bumpers in addition to the V54 option.

79. I've never been too fond of the "Jay Leno" chin on the 80-82 front bumper.

I'm talking about that street sweeper looking lower front end on the 80s. Sorry again guys!

A few years ago I would have said 80, but since I bought my 79 last fall, it's grown more on me and I added the rear spoiler, so now I'd have to say 79.

i second that.. even though it gets more air, i still dont like the nose on the 80.. its too......80s!!!! i like the 79 bc it resembles the older sharks and if you drop that nose a few inches and add a little spoiler, itle look meaner (in my opinion ) than any 80.. but thats just me..

actually, i once had a nightmare that my little brother got my car and traded it for an 80-82!!! true story.. nuf said, you see where my likes are..

80, not for styling but because of aluminium rear and other refinements over the 79.

Although , around here I notice the frames on the 80s are usually in worse condition than the 79s

Same here. I do like the '78 Pace Cars too. If I had a '79, I'd add the Pace Car spoilers.

I chose my 80 over ther 78-79 because the lower front bumper and the top of the rear bumper look like the design is unfinished to me. I like the looks the factory spoilers add. That's just my opinion though.
