Power door locks....

Power door locks....
Need help with my door locks. They act like they are not getting enough power. Though I checked the switches with a meter and they are both getting just under 12v. The switches activate them, but they barely move. I checked the ground on the passenger side and it seems fine.
What could be the problem??

Is that a coil system like your door bell if it is the inside of the coil gets dirty and doesnt move as well ,I could be way off.Clean it with windex. try one by direct 12 volt if she works like A charm its the switch,as switches get older they build up char on the contacts, you might also be able to clean the contacts on the switch

Take them apart and clean them thuroghly and see where you get with that. Might also want to clean and relube the latches. Might pay some attention to the switch contacts too, every little bit helps

Like they said... BTW, voltage isn't as important as current flow to a power load like the windows. If the contacts are dirty, they may see the 12v. but won't pass much current to drive the motor.
