First of all,...if a wife makes this kind of demand, it would most likely be a sign that there was something else, far bigger wrong in your relationship. Perhaps there is a finacial issue, a time issue, or jealousy. A true loving spouse wants the other half to be happy, as long as it doesn't put strains on the marriage.
My situation,...my wife doesn't care about old cars at all. To go a step further, she HATES Corvettes. However, she allows and supports me having one, and even buys me Corvette stuff for holidays gifts.
I don't like sewing, scrapbooking, shopping, dance, etc. But as long as it doesn't put a strain on our marriage, SHE can do it all she wants.
I would think you need to look deeper into your relationship. I bet the demand about getting rid of the Vette is just a symptom of a larger problem.
I obviously picked the first choice, any one of my three Ex's had no opinion one way or the other about the Vette, in other words it didnt figure into us getting divorced, although the last two thought that they would wind up with it for some reason,,,,HA,,, I'd have to agree that if you were given this choice then its because of some other problems that need attention. Peace,,,Moosie

no wife should ever give / make an ultimatum like that, giver azz da boot, & fast. If she loved you she wouldnt make such demands.....& chances are this is just the start of more crap to come !!
Was presented that choice between a GF or Harley yrs ago. Harley is still running well and looking new. Ex-girl friend got fat, lazy, & worn...HA!! I made the correct choice then, and would again

My vote of don't let the door hit you on the way out is a direct result of my current divorced situation. My ex would spend money like there's no tomorrow on going out to eat and other things all the time. We made decent money and should have been living in a bigger house with nicer and newer cars given the money we made. I have more money by myself paying for half of everything for my 2 young girls than I've had in a long time. Therefore after she split it was time to do somthing for myself for a change rather than sacrifice. I bought the Vette I've wanted since I was old enough to know what a car is. Needless to say, no woman will ever tell me that the Vette has to go without getting the boot herself.

sometimes i think every man should divorce at least once in a lifetime in order to learn how to take care of himself properly...
