ya i saw that awhile back. i belive the guys name in that video is Richard Knogin. i would love to see some of the peoples vettes on this forum go up against some of the worlds top cars in 1/4 mile and see how they do. no contest. everyone hates americans i think its because we look so good in our corvetts lol.

We should also not forget that the Cobra is an American engine packaged in a lightweight British sports car. And if it wasn't for the competition the Cobra gave the Corvettes, they might not have ended up with such large engine options in the late 60's

I lived in Britain for 3 years and watched Jeremy on Top Gear regularly. He is a big show off and makes many outrageous comments. The clip shows he sure doesn't know much about the ZO6. His show airs once in a while on the Detroit Speed Channel

Anything that Jeremy Clarkson says is to be taken as said with tongue in cheek. The show is very good in general , but is a light hearted look at all cars both in the UK and Europe and the rest of the world. Believe me he is no kinder to UK , European or for that matter the Asian cars either.
I thought that his review of the car in general was that it was very good and very fast. You have to remember that his comments about its suitability to live with on the roads would be on British roads and in British traffic
- this is a world away from roads in the states. Also a thread that is titled Brits Suck is unnecessary
- Jeremy Clarkson sucks would have been a much better choice

Man, what a difference of opinion on this one. In no way was I trying to spark an international incident. I think everyone should just clam down a bit and fun with it. Threads, too often than not, can be misinterpreted as negative in these terms. Granted, the title was a little over the top in trying to categorize all Brits with the same opinion as this guy. Bottom line anyone who dismisses the Corvette as merely a “boy band”, or “talent less”, should be ran over by one regardless of where they are from!
