Why paint anything any other color? Yellow is the best

I have seen it posted a few times now by some members that that, "no one uses the main page"...Well...I do and obviously others do as well based on what was said in this thread.

To get to the forum I type in www.corvetteforum.com. The main page comes up, which based on my cookies and history is set to the C3 setting. The option listed on the left side at the top is "General Discussion", which takes me to the "C3 Tech/Perf" page. This first page needs to be fixed so there is a link to "C3 Tech/Perf" and "C3 General."

Can the moderators or administrators please list both options on the main page?

There were so many C3 paint posts right before the new forum, now C3 questions go to the paint and body forum to die. I go other places for paint and body advice now.

I also agree with the main page link.

What exactly is so scary about "OT?" Is reading Off Topic threads within the Off Topic area so hard to do that the Boogey Man is gonna get ya? What exactly does "many C3 members don't want to "venture" into OT" mean, anyway? How scary do you guys think it is?

You finally got more mods in order to cut down on all the clutter and now you decide to leave OT threads in the general area.

I'll never understand the upside of scrolling through a ton of silly OT threads in a general area. Why bother seperating Tech, general or anything? Just put them all together.

Oooh, I forgot, OT is scary....

OT ain't scary. It's just that it's full of strangers. Wandering into OT and posting a thread is like standing in a bar and just telling everybody around you. I'd prefer to chat among people I know, here in C3.

This whole website is almost too big for itself now. We need a separate C3 website so that we can have a smaller community and a proper OT section just for the C3 members. Mods: Make it so!

Can we just drop the "Grumpy Old White Men" routine. It's really getting old.
All this whining about "post wh0res" - most of those complaining are just "post wh0re" complainers. You are not contributing anything significant. So what makes you any different?
I posted a serious question in Tech the other day and only got 2 replies from relatively new members. Should I start trashing the "Old Timers" for not taking the time to respond. NO - because it is their choice just like everyone else's and I respect that.
This is my last post on this subject.
I have a frame-off restoration that requires my time more.
Thank you.
Enjoy life! It's too short to spend it being negative. And there is no printed expiration date on the package.
Peace! (thanks Moosie for letting me borrow this)

......the difference is simple..the old timer posts to what he has knowledge of, the post ***** posts to hear himself type.........if you would have used the search button you might have the answers to your t-5 question as I think that subject has been discussed numerous times....a t-5 transmission is not something that interests me therefore as an old timer I would have no reason to answer as I have no knowledge on the subject....

I have used the search button. And there is no reference that I can find that discusses using a Lakewood Bellhousing for the T5 swap.

As I said I respect your choice to comment or not to comment.

Can we get past the "Old Timer" and "Newbie" labels? And perhaps drop the arrogant tone in our replies?

Peace!

Think timing of "thread posting" can limit replies....ie west coast/east coast,etc....search function works sometimes...but would be nice to have index for more common items...

So true Rich.

Other people have pointed out that if you do not know the thread title it is hard to get the specific thread you want. I have searched sometimes under the post person's name to actually find what I need.
But the biggest improvement would be the saving of pics. Some members have done such bang up job documenting their work with pics (which helps us "hunter-gatherers"), only to lose it in the archives.
If someone knows of an index of tech articles I would love to know of it. I read a lot before I do something. I save as much as I can in a separate file.

How many people do you really know here? A lot of them could very well be *** holes IRL and on top of that, you dind't "know" anyone in C3 before you joined, so I say..if you want to post OT, better go make friends in OT because posting OT in Gen does create enemies as well.

I sent a message to the moderators about 2 weeks ago and no change.

This is a relatively easy fix...

Please....

Just my 0.02 but when you click on the GENERAL DISCUSION in the menu bar from the home page (the blue skinned one) you come into the Tech/Perf thread.

The first thread I posted was another borderline thread and I actually thought I'd posted it in the General posts.

Sorry Obviously I'm blind didn't see the previous post
