Nice one but I cannot honestly believe you still have it, Glenn. Maybe spring will bring you a buyer and not tire thumpers. Good luck.

No problem! Thanks again.
I'll miss it, but it will be going to a new great home. The guy is a real car guy, so I'm sure we'll see more of it here when he takes possession of it.

i have been watching this thread for a long time... very cool just never posted because i was never finished..Well... im still not finished, but then i realized, i will probably never be finished.... so here is where i am right now....
Well, this one is an inspiration to me. Mine is actually worse than your before picture and my goal this coming spring is to start to work toward what you have as your after picture. Probably won't get all the way there, but I like the very clean stock look. This look matches the rest of my car, which is pretty much unchanged from original.
Here is what I will start off with - sad as it is. This is the weak part of my car and I have already taken the before pics and taped them on the wall in my office to remind me that this needs attention. Easy to not think about it with the hood closed all the time.
What is the sensor screwed into the front of the intake manifold on your engine? It has the white arrow pointed to it?
Thanks.

Lance, that is my water temp sensor/sending unit to my temp/water gauge. Its the stock sensor that was screwed into the driver side head on the stock engine. I have AFR after market aluminum heads and there is not a temp sensor port on these heads. So I had to relocate it to the intake. I need to rewire it so it does not lay across the VC. There is also water ports on the back of the intake if I wanted to buy a more modern and accurate autometer gauge and run dual gauges. Surprisingly though, the stock gauge is pretty accurate and I know exactly what the temp is on the gauge which is aided by the Dewitt Radiator/fan set up.
Very nice Blown BB to the Chevelle owner. 69 and 70's were a great years.
