Where do you guys find wives like that? My buddy has a 66 Vert and also had a 97. He got rid of the 97 and bought a Harley Road King. All this with 3 small kids. I tell all the time how lucky he is to have a wife put up with all that and he agrees.
You may already know this ,but, there is a wow factor to consider about your 68.My brother bought a new vette and when you drive them side by side ,my 69,that isnt as good a shape as your 68 ,i guarrenty that your 68 will get the wows toward it then the c5 you have.I know for a fact People will line up to see your 68 rather then look at your c5.Remember ,you have something so awsome that people just dont see much or not at all anymore. Ive had fathers with their sons point at my car and say now thats a real vette son. Glad you were able to keep your 68.
Congrats, on the Z06 and good luck with it. Glad to see that you were able to keep the 68, that's one sweet looking ride. Now is the time to buy a C5 if that's what you want, the prices are right on them because of the C6. I really like the look of the C5 and have toyed with the idea of owning one myself.
You can keep the 68 and buy or trade for some modern muscle like the zo6 or modded car thats a few years old as there are plenty of corvette guys with deep pockets that want the newest and fastest vette out on the market. I,m waiting on a twin turbo Lingenfelter C5 or a C6 head/cam car in the mid to high 30g range ...But plan on keeping my 68 ...
How did you go about insuring you cars ?
What ever you do, DON’T SELL the ‘68. The car is not only beautiful, it is a classic that will continue to turn heads for many years to come. You will regret letting it go.
you have to decide based on your own situation....

Yeah you're defiantely right about the cool factor and head turning quality on the '68. I bought the ZO6 strictly for performance. I had no idea what kind of car that Z really is performance wise until late last night. There's no way a C3 will ever perform like that.

It's just a entirely different animal. It's the complete package as expected with nearly 40 years technology. It has brute force that's unexplanable, handling that's simply amazing, looks to die for and 30mpg on the highway (although I average much much less than that. ) Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my C3 and that's why I fought so hard to keep it. But the 400HP engine and suspension upgrades I've done to that car just simply does not compare to the Z.
