Is there anybody that makes the wheel well carpet pieces that actually fit.
After doing a search I find that almost everyone states that the 2 pieces that are suppose to fit over the wheel wells do not fit properly.
Hell at this point I wish that the manufacturer would have sent just a flat un-molded piece. Instead of the molded pieces I have now. I don't know what they used for the mold, but I am sure that it has nothing to do with a 'vette.
Does anyone have any pics of replacement carpet that actually fit over the wheel wells properly?
Thanks
He means in the rear where the seat belts bolt up. Its tuff you will have to trim it and glue a section at a time to get it to look wroth a crap. Just be patient my did not fit good either it was from auto custom carpets.
My carpet doesn't fit perfectly but looking at a $200 price tag I guess I got what I paid for..... I wonder if the GM stuff fit any better ??? Maybe you MUST use thick insulation between the carpet and the body to make it fit right ???? I glued the carpet on the fiberglass and I cant get it fit tight at the corners..... maybe I take it out one day and add insulation.... right now I have lots of other stuff to take care of.....
I had a hard time getting my carpet to look good in that location also. It took some time to get it to line up right, and even then it had some extra area to it.
At least its in the back where it is not really noticed. It could be worse up front where you see it all the time.
It is ACC carpet. And yes the problem is with the wheel wells.
I think it is a shame that you put so much work into a frame off resto and then when you get to the part that should reward you visually, you get a big letdown!
I honestly don't see where these pieces are even a little bit close to what they should be.
Oh well.......

Be patient my friend! take your time, it will look great. I did very little cutting...look at my recent past posts...I posted a thread and pics of the final outcome.
Look at how much of the wheelwell carpet is covered by trim and then only try for a perfect fit where it can be seen. If it looks bad behind the trim or up high you will soon forget about it. I use yellow glue left over from putting on a rubber roof and it holds good and can be brushed on.
Hey ptroxx!!! I think you can take the Club off your steering wheel. First of all they are the easiest thing in the world to beat and second I don't think you will have too many guys trying to drive off with your car if they have to sit on the floor without seats.
N.B. the insullation looks good though what type is it?
