69 L-71 on e-bay, he has revised the description a few times but I think it's very misleading 73 454 block, color change, and the one that sticks out most is "Original California Blue plate car" California issued black plates in 1969, then went to blue in 1970 starting with the number letter combo as 000 AAA, that plate is not from 69, and the exhaust is not 69 either http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...spagenameZWDVW

Let's see....the car is all original....with a different motor and painted a different color....and it's only $40K. Where's my checkbook???!!! (maybe not)
To me, when I look at this car, I hear all kinds of alarms going off in my head.
I just cannot believe that the bidding has gone this high.
I was looking at a car on e-bay some months ago, it looked very good, but then someone noticed (I missed it) that the block stamp was not the same # as the ad stated it was, that made it a non-number car. Needless to say, I didn't bid on it, and the car never sold.
I ended up buying a pretty nice vert from a forum member, he was very honest, and the car was very well represented.
It also looks like two bidders w/ ZERO feedback ran up the price ...sounds like a honest auction to me....
And I LOVE this quote-
"It is obvious that this car has never been abused, raced, or even driven in anything but sunny weather. It has always been garaged and never missed its regular maintenance."
It was on here a few months back for sale.
I dont think it looks like to bad of a car, but the seller really doesn't know what he's talking about (IMO).....and the '73 block really doesn't help the value either.
