Just removed the body off the frame, i'ts really bad under there.
The only thing holding the frame together is the shocks and the trail arm. Hey!!! i' ll fix it up good. I'm looking for the serial number on the frame to see if it matches. Where is it?
Stand at the left rear tire and look down. Mine was on top of the frame right behind the rear tire. You might need to brush off some rust if yours is real bad.
It's usually stamped quite deeply, and so you can use some very course sand paper to get through the crud and rust as has been suggested. It sorta appears as you sand like an old fashion photo developed.
Regards,
Alan
i found 2 stamps on my 69 frame - one one the rear left (as mentioned above) and one also on the left side around 18 -24 inches in front of where the rear wheel would be located. good luck.
If your frame is as rusty as you say I don't think you are going to be able to find the serial numbers. The numbers on my replacement frame were clearly visible, but judging by the depth of the stamping anything more than light surface rust would wipe them out.

I'm afraid your right, i think i can see what looks like numbers. I,m gonna fill them with black paint to see if it stands out a little more.
Frame is bad. I own a steel shop so cost of repair is at a minimum,
time is another thing.
