How are you guys mounting up the tachs that are meant to be mounted on a pedestal....I mean....if using that in an "in-dash" application? I have the speedo cluster cut, aluminum panel fitted, and I'm wondering if the pedestal mounting ring can just be snugged up against the back of the panel and tightened down to keep it flush against the panel. I got a screaming deal on the tach, so I can't complain, but just getting it to mount securely is my only concern.
