Default Sidepipe header question..????

What is the brand name of headers that come off the heads, and turn out, then stop?I've seen them, but ????????
These are going on a BB 68 roadster, and going into custom 4" side tubes.Trying to get away from the Hooker look, and going more full fledge road race look.Anyone have some good photos as to how you came off the header, and had clearance coming under the frame, then turning into the side tubes?????Or a good source????I can fab most this, but am looking for pics. Thanks Fellas......

I'm afraid that they won't clear the frame. The ones that I seen were on ebay, and came back like stock exhaust manifolds, then turned out to a collector flange.??????That's what I am after, and I haven't seen them since.
Thank you for the link!Did you end up saling,or keeping the 68?????
Happy New Year's to you.....

Somehow I managed to convince the wife to let me keep the '68 and buy the ZO6.

I think these are designed more for a road racer where the exhaust would come out through the fender. They don't look like they go far enough to the rear or drop low enough to clear the frame for a direct fit to the side pipes.

They are for the stock side exhaust. I had a set on my 65 back when I had it 30 years ago.

These are designed to work with the factory side exhaust mufflers. You will need to run a custom pipe from the header to the muffler. Hedmans note: "Factory side exhaust cut and welding is required."

Here are some pics showing the install on my Vette with a small block.

See.....what I am going to do is...run the headers to a collector, then rum it straight into a big turn out,and back down the side of the car. This is going to be a street legal road race car,so not wanting to go w/the stock side exhaust.Thank you for the pics, and you answered if these would work on the car.I just need the headers...I have a roundie-round guy here local that is a friend, and owns a muffler shop, and can handle all the fab work for me off the header....Thanks guys! You're the best!

I mpulled them from shopheaders.com and the black are only 149.95,and the ceramic coated silver are 433.99.I will go w/the cheaper ones, and have them coated after the fab work is all done.....Not a bad price tho',and is exactly what I am after. Thanks for the Stahl's link, but want to do something that someone just can't go buy, although,I hear alot about Stahl's.

I have a very decent set of chrome hooker sidemounts, and tubes w/inserts for sale,if any of ya all are interested. They are blueing some, but your new ones will be blueing also before you know it,and you are goping to pay ALOT more. The chrome that shows is extremely nice, and they are solid as hell. They are listed in the parts for sale section,if anyone is interested.
Thanks for all the help!!!

Around a year ago someone posted a thread where they used the Hedmans with 3" or 3.5" pipes and the '69 covers. I reposted the links a few days ago in another thread...might help with what you're looking to do.
