Guitarcrazy, a shift kit makes your auto shift a lot harder. It's what makes auto cars bark the tires when shifting to 2nd gear (or if they're really powerful, going into 3rd also). I've always been told they lengthen the life of a trans becuase of the quick crisp shifts as opposed to lazy, slow shifts that build up more heat.

It's been nearly 15 years since I had mine in and it has been flawless the whole time. I agree in the longevity issue. You can't shift too fast for an automatic. Get one!

Just got mine at Sumitt.$81.88. Comes with install video and directions. Looking at both seems pretty easy.I am doing mine with tranny out as I have to fix a leek and see whats going on with speedo drive gear. The video shows doing the install with tranny in.
