Anyone see that 1963 Vette Concept Car that they are going to auction off on Saturday? Apparently it was shipped to Milan, Italy to be outfitted with a bit of European flair.. interesting looking to say the least.
Oh btw, for anyone interested, it is Lot 1304 a 1963 CHEVROLET CORVETTE COUPE "RONDINE" CONCEPT CAR.
The program for download appeared to be for PC only.. I guess I will have to give it another look.
Nope appears to be PC only.. ICK...
It is for PC viewing only unless you have a way to port your PC into your TV/AV system. However the TVU player works better than nothing for people who have no other options. In addition you can use the free VLC media player to record the broadcast for later viewing.
If anyone else needs a bit more info, if you have a broadband internet connection then download the TVUplayer from the link hwcoop provided above.
Install the player and upon opening it select English from the top choices. Scroll down to the channel titled "Wheels" and select that. This is the Speed Channel. The feed on this channel seems reasonable w/few stalls. Video is not quite standard TV quality and seems about 20-30 seconds delayed from what I get on my cable system, but again if you don't get Speed any other way this is a reasonable choice vs nothing.
And along w/Speed there is "The Auto Channel" which seems interesting and informative. And there are lots of other choices/channels, both in English and other languages too. Certainly worth the download to check out. FWIW.
Just went thru the B-J car list. Looks like only 2 1968's, 3 1969's & 2 1971's to run. Of course a myriad of C2's.
However I am looking forward to Lot 1290, this is a LS6 ZR-2 coupe, should be interesting!! This car was in B-J's consignment building for some time, listed at 475K.
I watched the last 90 minutes of the broadcast last night. One of the last cars up was a 1964.5 Mustang coupe with a 260 V8. I know these cars pretty well. The guy with the microphone (you know, the one with the wealth of "knowledge" about vintage cars) didn't know squat about this car. He made several observations that were just completely uninformed. Made me wonder how much he really knows about any of the other vehicles crossing the stage. I thought that a number of those cars went for a lot more money than was warranted by their condition and/or their state of authenticity. BTW, did it seem like some of the auctions ended very rapidly when a particular number was reached while others went on forever looking for a higher bid until the auctioneer relented and finally declared the car sold?
