Eddie, I was there last night. What a cool place, it compares to a State Fair. Loads of cool stuff to look at and two days worth of cars to see.
If your there to buy a deal, Wednesday the day. Loads of bargins. Most custom cars that ended up in the $30K range. The Monster stuff was a joke, except for the Dragster and Baja truck.
Had a great time and a most do once in your life.
BTW - I saw the Pro Team guys looking at their prey.
69 427 400 for 35k??? Not concours for sure but like they said, all the important stuff was there. That was a shocker. And a Torino Cobra going for 100k. After the Hemis have taken off into the stratosphere they are gradually moving the inflation magnifying glass to other overweight old iron, model after model and Tripower Vettes go for 35k I owned a Torino Cobra back in the day and I gladly would have traded straight across for any Tripower Vette that was offered

They were busted for not allowing the full 3 minutes of auction time.
A few cars that had bidding stall early were really worked to no avail. It appeared they were making sure the car(s) had their proper time in the limelight.

It was cool to see 5 Vette's in the top 10 sellers list on the day, until crap like a 70' Boss Rustang went for $105,000.00.... ARE PEOPLE INSANE?
Strange... I guess this is what the market is bringing for oddities. It was nice to see the Austin Healy go for a large amount.. Makes me confident I will get some good money for my MGB some day.
I never thought I would see the day a NON-SHELBY Mustang went for over $100k.. NUTS!!!

It only went for $80K.... I though it would go for at least 6 figures!!!
80k for a 69 350 vert, even though it only has 600 miles,is a very BIG number. If it were a Big Block with that kind of mileage it would of have brought a big time number.
just got done watching thursdays show. now is it me or was there a lot of cars in the 40,000 to 50,000 $$$$ range looks to me the day for (these people) to buy. the reson i say these people is because i cant see paying barrett-jackoson another red cent for something that can be bought on your own. plus these peop[le just throw money around like its water...... sorry for the rant
I thought is was very cool how that 65 Chevy, that the guy bought new and dated his wife in it. The guy turns 70 (original owner) and sells it for $90,000
The car went dead for awhile and the anouncer starts talking to get the croud going and the car takes off again. That shows you there are a lot of people with expendable income out there! Wish I was one of them.
