Gauges work and dont work

I have a 79 and when I turn the lights on the gauges all go off except the temp gauge. Turn the lights off and the gauges all work, except the clock, it never works.
Any ideas?

I'd be willing to be you have a ground issue, unfortunately I can't tell you where the ground is to check it out. Maybe someone else will chime in that knows.

Sounds like the ground to the lights is damaged/missing and the lights are "hunting" ground through the cluster. (Just a guess.)
