You repost in it, and put something like TTT (to the top) in the post to bring it back to the top of the list.
Most forums and moderators frown on this (as they should IMO). Its rude, and serves no purpose other than adding clutter and worthless TTT posts. Nothing like having thousands of TTT posts indexed in google.
I'm not a big fan of thread bumping.

Technically the poster did the right thing, ie., starting a new thread. Typically instead of bumping an old thread you should really start a new one and then link back to the old one.
FYI, this is the only forum I am on that allows thread bumping. Some will get you an infraction/warning, still others will get you banned from the forum.
I mean how annoying is this? It's really annoying when you do a search on a topic then land in a thread that has about 20 or so of these useless TTT posts in it.
