I have a stock 350 small block equiped with an Edelbrock Carb 1407 (750 cfm), which is too big for this engine. I think a 1405 will be better for my car. Did someone already buy some products to this seller and are they in good condition?
If the 1407 is another version of the Q-jet (as I suspect), then you don't need another carb. Just read Lars articles on re-calibrating the Q-jet and it will tell you what metering jets and rods need to be installed. The Q-jet bodies were nearly all the same and all will flow about 750 cfm...if your engine needs it. Carb regulates by airflow...if your engine doesn't need it, the carb won't call for it. Save your money and keep the one you have.
