The engine is in, finished install about 4 pm Friday afternoon, but we didn't have time to start it. We were rushing as it was, getting ready to leave town for a 750 car strong car show at the Lake of the Ozarks. I'm there right now, with Curt, at his Pop's house, just enjoying a few beers and some nice weather. Once we get back into town tomorrow afternoon we'll see if we have more time to get into the startup and break in.
I will upload more pics when I get back, but here's a teaser.
No we haven't had any time to devote to it. We're both back at work, and will get to it once we both have time. Neither of us wants to miss the startup so we'll just have to wait for our schedules to open up at the same time.
Opinions are like a__holes everyone has one but yours is more like a waste of time. I've never seen a thread anywhere on this site where you've actually had anything good to say. You must have a very low self esteem! It seems like your only out to bash on whatever DB is commenting about. I've never had a problem with you but for some reason you want to include me and the mods I’ve done to my car, even if it’s only indirectly it’s uncalled for. I don’t recall saying anything bad about yours. If you have something to say about me than say it. If not keep it to yourself!

Not sure what I said to deserve this kind of bashing. I assumed that DB posted this thread so that those who were interested could follow along. I've said nothing in this thread that wasn't informative or just expressing interest. By the way, I don't recall ever commenting on any of the mods you have done to your car in this or any other thread. Please refresh my memory.
You and DB started this engine swap over a week ago and haven't given any updates other than showing pics of the engine installed. It must be killing you guys that you are so close to hearing it run but can't find time to work on it. On the pics it looks like it is ready to fire. Would you mind sharing with us what is holding things up?

I have a very demanding job that takes me away from it. We'll get back after it this coming weekend. Thanks for the concern!
First I have to make sure the prop is stable. Lord knows this crazy thing will cavitate if I gets it past 4,000 RPM. The prop might just fly right off.
If ya'll don't play nice I am going to have to seperate ya'll in seperate rooms. Just kidding I think we all have a passion for the same thing.
"CHASING OUR DREAMS" great job guys on the engine.
That's a purdy '74! And that engine, a work of art! I know you guys gotta be anxious to get these two mated together. Looking forward to seeing those pics.

Wow... ...a brain surgeon in our group. That's very cool.
Anyway, thanks a lot. The engine is actually in and finished ready to start. I hope Curt and I get the time we need this weekend to get it going.
good luck with the start up.I remember the day we fired mine. Took 7 beers for the grin to go away. The dial in is the fun part... Did you run in the cam yet? We did mine on a stand before we put it in. Too late now!!! Perhaps your first road trip can be to ST. Louis for the show on the 18th. If you want to roll in on the 17th, we can hide it at my shop for the night.
