I wanted to verify the engine, trans, rearend, starter, carb, manifold, Exhaust manifold, pulleys, half shafts, frame, dist.tach, etc. I would like to know what is authenic and what has been replaced.
Thanks in advance. Terry

Default here are some #'s

some #'s that should be on your 72 LT-1;
Carburetor - Holley R6239A Chevrolet no.3999263
Distributor - Delco 1112101 look for small metal band with this part# embossed on it located right above the dist.hold down clamp.
Alternator - 1100950
Engine Block - 3970010 or 3970014(late production) with a engine suffix code of CKY (if you are lucky enough to be one of the 20 or so ZR1 owners the suffix code would be CKZ)
Exhaust Manifolds - Left and right casting numbers are 386711 (3932461 late production)
Intake Manifold - cast aluminum #3959594
Starter motor - 1108418
Water Pump - 3991399 or 330813 late production
you might want to get a book by Richard Prince titled "Corvette Restoration Guide 1968 - 1982" it proved very helpful to me during the restoration of my car. Also check out the NCRS website for books that will help with all the correct part numbers
How about some pictures of your Car??
here is one of mine

Terry,
A useful guide would be a NCRS 70-72 judging manual. It will give you all the correct info needed for you to determine if your cars part numbers and date codes fit your cars build date.
That's how I did it.

Hi Terry,
As rvazquez has suggested you should think about getting the '70-72 Corvette Technical Information & Judging Guide' from the NCRS. It will give you lots of good information about your car. You can order it from the NCRS site.
Regards,
Alan
