door sills
My door sills have become scratched over the years. Has anyone tried to take steel wool or sandpaper to these to clean them up? What is the best wat to do this, or should I just buy new ones. These are the originals.

Melting Slicks
They scratch and dent easy and I know of no repair but new ones. If you want them to stay new just use them for shows or cover them up cause by next year they will look bad again.

Similar to the silver rocker panels, the door sills are anodized aluminum. The anodized coating is harder than the aluminum sills and the coating is very thin. If you sand or do much polishing, you will wear through the anodized coating and the surface will never be the same. You can try buffing with a fairly fine rouge to see if the scratches will come out, but not likely if they are very deep. Replacement is probably your best bet. The standard sills are readily available and not very expensive.

You can also get an insert that fits over the original sills which have pre drilled holes the same as the original. I have one on my '70 which has the corvette letters spelled out. Many vendors have.
