Stan- nice work! I think you need a southern distribution center warehouse (my place) for all your great ideas! Then you could come around occasionally and give me pointers on how to finish my car!

2nd Generation South....Nice ring, eh?
I like that idea. We will have to talk about it at Carlisle. When are you going down? I will be there thursday evening, so I will be able to take the car out for a run before the show on Friday.
I was going to be there Friday, but I could probably slip up Thursday afternoon. I am trying to get the wife to commit to going Friday, and all of us going to dinner. Alan, are you there? Let me know, Stan. I am only 50 mins from Carlisle.
We are starting to make rears right now. The fronts should be finished in a couple of weeks. PM me to get a spot in line for them. They will be sold at $600 a set plus shipping. Cheaper than the flares currently available out there.
Stan, I know you guys do great work up there! And these look like no exception!
However, as I look at the pics of them on the car it ***appears*** that the lip is out of round near the front top. It could be just an optical illusion, but it appears that it is closer to the tire than the back lip. I am not trying to stir anything up, just wanting you to see what I see before you start selling them so you won't have some upset customers.
Again, I could be way off base and I mean no harm!

I know that you mean no harm my friend. It's all good.
That flare is just resting on the fender. There is enough movement for it to be moved in or out a little for final tweaking. Believe me , if you compare it to a typical flare available now it is a lot nicer, and more importantly More user friendly. Anyone who has mounted flares before would find these a lot easier to work with:thumbs
By awesome price I meant cheap........just to clear up any confusion
I know what you mean James:
And yes, we made a mold of your flares, then made a set of flares from those molds, and then CUT, SLICED, TRIMMED, SHAPED, and smoothed those into submission

These particular flares are styled similar to the original L88 flares.
But look at this. We have made an attachment to modify them, allowing for more material in the rear.(the current car that is getting these is getting more material in the rear) If the demand was high enough ,we would mold these as well.
That looks awesome!!! What do I have to do to get a set like that? And will the fronts be similar? That is exactly what I had pictured in my mind. Well done. I can't imagine that there wouldn't be some interest in a flair for later chrome bumper cars. I would definitely be interested in a set for front and rear even if it was another one off set like those in your photo. PM me if you're interested in doing a set for a 71 vert!
As you know he chose a flare with added material in the back. This is as his car sits now. Keep in mind his rear flares were narrowed a bit to match his wheel and tire offset perfectly.
Here is a spy pic of the front flares being made. As soon as they are fully formed we will make a mold of them.
These are designed for 68-72 cars so slight modification will be needed for 73-up. We are adding a little custom touch to the fronts to make install a bit more fitting to the cars.
We have already sold two sets of the L88 style rears to corvette forum members and the feedback has been great!!!!!!
I will have pics of the completed front mock- ups this week
As you know, the first sets we will have available will be L88 style( no mudflap in the back)
Added material style will be made at some point later on.
I am one of the members that received a set of rear flares from Stan. These things are incredible. There is no comparison to the ACI flares - the arc on the flare is perfect, the quality of the glass is awesome, and they fit the body! The ACI ones don't even come close to fitting the bodylines. Stan's flares are the best ones available bar-none! Now I just need a set of front ones. Let me know when they are ready Stan
Wow, now I want to get flares for my '71 and do a RR inspired car......so cool!
Now for a story..I was talking to my dad about doing some fairly extensive body work with flares and such and a new RR paint scheme. He said that probably the only way we'd do that is if the car got in an accident requiring some fairly extensive body work (no biggy for us, we're both good at laying up glass). That day we'd takin her out to the beach for a cruise. Almost like curse, this public buss pulls out into the one lane right on top of us. I thought for sure that the body would be toast from being hit by a public bus. We just accelerated hard to get out of the way, and it was over, but I couldn't forget about what he said about putting flares on if it got hit.
So the moral of the story, is don't say something that might happen to turn out on the road!
But If it does nneed body work Stan, you'll get the call for flares, because they look abselutely unbelievable! nice job!
We're on for fronts and rears, no added material. Timing on my end will depend on getting motor built and back in the car so we will be close to proper ride height when you do your magic!

Can't wait!

Stan, certainly by now that car you pictured is done. Would appreciate some pics here or to my email. I am about to buy wheels and want to see what his wheels looked like as well as the flares in the final view. Pics please!!
