I don't know how I missed this thread, I like the way the vette sits. But I have had bags before and thought they were a pain to deal with.
Especially since you have to align the front suspension at "driving height" and I never could get the pressure at the same spot to keep the front end aligned at cruising speeds. But definitely looked cool at stop lights when I made the front end pop up and down
Well I think it's cool. too bad he's hording the suspension pics.
I guess the patent application hasn't gone through yet?
Bagging the front is a no brainer, typical A Arm stuff, The rear is a little trickier, but still many ways of doing it.
And for the haters, Air ride is awesome even if you don't plan on hopping it or bouncing it.
I don't think it will out handle a properly set up vette with a set of 550's in the front. the air will be too soft allowing the body to roll and we know what happens when these old girls roll,
And pumpng up the pressure changes the ride height, that doesn't help.
Looks excellent!!!!
IMO, huge difference in a Hot Rodder and a Car Guy...The kids a Rodder, WE customize everything and anything,Stock as a Jock is boring, shoot for the moon...
Trucks, I to was Mini-Trucker, uh back in the day when there were still vans at runs! My first was a 74 Ford Courier, chopped it and fab in a 289, ran in primer, dam fun fast truck..Anyway I regress...
i had those pics too... found them online a few years back...unless they are newer ones.... but the top of the bag attaches to the cross member
might be better off using shockwave bags and beefing up the shock mount or make a new bracket to attach to the t-arm
Possibly the same the pics. I also looked into the shockwaves, but there isn't much room for clearance without heavy modifications unless you use the sleeve style, which I don't think they recommend for IRS applications. I've been on bags since '05 without any problems as of yet (knock on wood)...
hey guys.... damn been a while since i've been on here
i'll adress as much as i can remember...lol
ok, first off i have adjustable struts, i believe i mentioned that the rear has yet to be aligned so yes the rear amber is WAY under what it should be... that will be fixed as soon as the engine is back in it and it's running...
so a lil update on the car...
the engine is complete, it's all painted and sitting pretty on the engine stand... should have about 400hp at the crank (give or take)... it's already been ran on the stand and the cam has been broken in... (BTW it sounds amazing!)
as for the car itself, well it's been sitting in final primer/sealer for about a little over a month now, figured we'd let all the bodywork shrink back a bit so there's no major problems down the road... and my painter assured me it will be painted and back home by the end of june...
the paint has been settled as i got a full sponsorship from Matrix Automotive Finishes so it's gonna be one awsome looking yellow
so once i can get some pics i will
just be patient...
Maybe you lowriders can help me. I'd like to hit a switch and have my front end lift about 2" so that I can get over high speed bumps or steep driveways. Kinda like the new Porsches have. I have Bilsteins and coil springs up front. My front spoiler catches hell.
