I plan on this winter cleaning the underbody of the car, fixing the driverside mirror (droops), & putting on the correct plug wires with holders. Not much but is still a winter project. \
Working on my new interior/radio now..waiting on new seat belts before I can go further. After the interior I think I'm going to do the trailing arms. Front end next winter. Will post pics soon.
Here are a few pics of my '73 I'm restoring with my dad. The chassis is complete and the rebuilt 408 is back in place. Now getting the body ready to paint...

I just installed my L88 hood on my 72. I bought the hood used. I stripped the 6 layers of paint it had on it, then I installed it on the car to make sure it fits good before I spend the $$$ to get it painted.
Now I'm having a hard time desiding how to match the strips I have on the car. Here are some pic.
I like that, I'd start with the same width stripe at the cowl then taper it down to the height (as the width) of the L88 bump and conect at peak (front). Keep us posted when done.
This is my toy,and just put a new heads/cam combo on the engine.Tomorrow is fire up day.Then...once all is well...I will pout the 6x2s back on,and the J56s.I have new susp. kit,and paint will have to wait until some customer's cars get done.
My life is one BIG random 'vette project LOL.
Everytime I set foot in the garage there's another project....
(So the good lady wife says).
Last years list....
1/ Lambo doors done.
2/ speaker upgrade.
3/ reco'd radiator installed.
4/ really cool Chev bowtie mirror installed.
This years projects are
1/ new dizzy
2/ body mounts
and depending on costs either
5 speed install OR paint job (Manta ray replica).
Hopefully I've got some RICH old relatives who like me .......
All the best for the new year (and your projects)
May THE CORVETTE GODS smile on us all in '09.

That's just what I've been thinking. I have a 1/18 scale model of a 68 that I put black tape on it to simulate the stripes. I think I will be going with what you said. Here is a pic of the modle. I will post pics when it's all done and painted.
I just completed my offset trailing arms and batwing intstall. I'll drive it for a while before I decide my nest mod. I'm Jonesing for a hydraulic roller cam and lifters. The LT4 Hot Cam to be specific, if anyone has one lying around. I have a new Edelbrock RPM Air Gap on the shelf that will prolly wait for the cam and lifters. While I'm in there, maybe an electonic water pump, and a computer controlled HEI. Also, those 3" Flowmasters have got to go. Somebody stop me.

Finishing up the C4 suspension transplant, Wilwood brakes, and front coilovers. Pulled about 125 pounds off the car with this suspension, rack, brakes, and batwing swap. (The C4 halfshafts will need to be shortened to fit, and will replace the lengthened C3 setup shafts currently on the chassis.) Hope to have the body off the original frame and dropped on this frame in the next couple months.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
