Bernadette. The late great Levi Stubbs said it best. Summertime cruises with the top down and stereo cranked really lights me up. '69BB will turn some heads. I just keep the name to myself but my girlfriend can relate to it she says.
Here`s a story, when I`m down and feeling sick, or just lost in life I go out to look at my car, or go for a ride. Like a doctor who gives you a perscription, she gives me a high also.
So hence the name
"THE VETTE"
because all dogs eventually need their fix.
My kids named my Explorer "Dora", you know, because of the TV show "Dora the Explorer". OK, they were like 4 and 6 years old when they did that. They call my wife's Camry "Boots", because Boots is Dora's friend on the show. As far as I know, they have not yet named my Corvette, and I have no plans to name "it" myself. I will occasionally use "her" in that context, but I don't think the car is alive or has feelings. That said, I still wouldn't want to **** her off.
1971 convertible is named Roxanne
1972 coupe is named Miclelle
1973 coupe is named Raquel
1982 coupe is named Rocky because he looked like rocky after afight when I got him
2000 convertible is named Tax, because he runs like the devil

I resemble that remark. "The Vette" beings that i only have one identifies it enough. Theres only two thing that get my spirits up these days (bad back) is to go out and fiddle with her or ride her hard and put her away wet anytime I want. I used to do that to somebody else, I just can't remember who it just been so long. I'm getting all timers, can anybody guess who.
I just remembered who it was but i can't use that name here.
Clue#1 The Vette never bitches when I fiddle with it as much as I want.
Clue #2 The Vette never complains when I take off the top and fill it up.
Clue #3 I can rub it any time and anywhere I want.
Clue #4 If I push it in the right place it it really gets to screaming and going faster.

I don't call them anything, my wife calls them "my problem, not hers". I was spending some time on the C4 forum and posted a picture of my 81, big mistake, don't post your C3 on the C4 forum. They called her my "disco Vette", not really happy about that. At least my "disco Vette" runs, which is more than I can say for many of them based on the number of posts screaming for help!
Much more class on this side
