I picked up some new speakers and would like to find some factory style plugs so that I can neatly plug them into the original harness. Anybody have a source? I think I found them in Lectric Limited's catalog, but $32 plus shipping seems a little steep. I thought I might run into a pair of old speakers I could salvage them off of at Super Sunday Indy today, but no luck
Call around to some auto parts stores and ask if they sell Packard connectors. If you can find matching pieces, great. If you can't, just buy the complete (male & female) sets and replace all the connectors.
Hi Jeremy,
If you have the old/original speakers can you unsolder the connector leads from them and solder those leads to the new speakers. I did this on my 71 and it was easy. Maybe?
Regards,
Alan
PS: I just reread your post and see you don't have your old speakers. Could you ask on the parts wanted forum?
