I was replacing speakers and I had the dash apart, and after I installed everything it was getting dark and I noticed when I took the car for a spin the interior lights were not working. I have a 74 Vert, so I have one light by each door and one in the back by the convertible top. I must have blown a fuse. Does anyone know which one. I do not have a book yet on the car, I have ordered one. Can anyone help me out?
Did you not pull a battery wire before you got under there? Good thing you didn't short a ring or your watch on a power wire. If you didn't get an unexpected spark due to shorting something out, you shouldn't have a blown fuse for just being under there. I'm guessing that you inadvertently pulled the ground wire for the dash lights off it's spade connector. It is a black wire with a female Packard connector on the end. It mounts to a 1/4" spade lug near the left-front door frame.
