It's the 700R4 Tranny with OD that gives us the Hwy miles; first year was in the 82 and was the only "option" avail. She purrrs and sips fuel turning 2K RPM at about 70 MPH

The other one I am looking at it a 1980 with 50K original miles. It has brand new paint blue/blue updated suspension componets full leather int, 4 speed with a 425hp 383 stroker with 5K. Yeah call me crazy but some about that hp is a big + to me not to mention 4 spped with no computer.
...I don't know how much coin you are talking for the '80 but my advice...go drive a C5Z. Keep your 78 and pair her with a C5Z...best of both worlds at affordable pricing these days

The guy want 14K for the 80. My 78 is long gone. One of the main reason for selling it was due to the lack of hp it jusr became boring. I cannot afford a C5Z but I did run across a 00 Vert with 59K on it for $10k that caught my eye. It need a new front bumper cover, windshield, and the guy let it sit for six months and now has a wired shifting prob with the auto trans. The bumper cover and winshield didn't bother me but the shift problems did.

Edit: Looks like the 00 Vert finally sold.

the 82 didnt get as bad a rap as the 84. I had an 84 crossfire car and it had 150,000 miles on it when i sold it. I can tell you I had no problems with that motor
