Just this for now. I'll have to get a better pic after work for you. With standard hood, the carb would be completely visible.

Billysvette has some GREAT pics of his 'ray and blower. Check your messages.

Now you're giving me bad ideas. How long do you think cast pistons would last under 6psi?

: 3-5 boost would be the sweet spot for cast iron...but there are always exceptions. Also if you're running more than say 9:1 compression, that will limit the amount of boost you can go as well.

Not everyone likes/wants a Hillborne (or whatever) sticking out of their hood (like my wife! ), but she gets a kick out of it when I floor it and she can't reach forward to get to the radio.

Now I've said similar things about C2's but you won't hear me disingenously claiming I'm being nice by saying "we're all on the same team" after doing so.

The fact is the C4 is one of the most popular Corvettes ever and the second most attractive. Sales were down on the 82 C3 and I totally disagree with the original commenter of this thread - no way should've GM stuck with the C3 body style, it had a long enough run, it was time for something different, the C4 was the right car at the right time. It sold from 84-96 and if there was any truth to claims of the C4 bashers it wouldn't have been remotely as successful as it was.

You crack me up,

Some people buy a vette a few months ago and think they are the all time Corvette Guru,
Why is it you want to try to force everyone to agree with you 100% on your every thought.
Second most attractive...solely your opinion and others opinions differ.
When you take time from scolding people and turning their words around or trashing their car in Private message could you explain why if the C4 is so very popular why is it the lowest value of all vettes?
I guess you believe that the C4 as it was released was the planned style all along for the "new" model...why do you think they missed a year 83?
Last...if the C4 is so great in your world why didn't you buy one, why not swap your 79 for one?

70's and 80's are over Mr. corvette summer, nobody like a c3 with a stupid body kit how ugly.

I never claimed to be the all time Corvette Guru, but unlike you I do know the base 327 in 68 was 300 horse, not 350 like you adamantly claimed. And if I made such an amateurish mistake I wouldn't have later tried to deny it and cover my mistake up by trying to falsely claim I only said one 327 motor was 350 horse.

If you think anyone making comments on an internet forum has any power to force you to agree with them 100% on every thought you're a very weakminded person indeed - see a psychiatrist for help with your self-esteem.

All else being equal people pay more for newer cars with less mileage. Also the production numbers on the C4 were huge so higher supply means lower prices even when demand is higher than it is on cars like the C1 and C2 which are available in far far smaller numbers.

You're a pretty poor mind reader, I don't believe any such thing and I don't care one way or another why they missed year 83.

You quoted me saying it - what part of "the C4 is the second most attractive" don't you understand genius?

I'll let you have the last word and hurl your impotent insults seeing as your self esteem is still suffering from when you looked like a fool when you tried to deny that the base 327/350 in early C3's was 300 horsepower - Corvette Guru you ain't

I usually try to stay out of this kind of stuff, but I'm getting a little tired of discussions regarding my favorite car turning into ridiculous arguments about who is smarter or who needs to see a psychiatrist. I don't mean to single anyone out, but Priya, nearly every thread I read that you take part in turns into a nasty argument. I mean, how long ago was that argument about what size motor was the base engine? What need was there to bring that up? You seem to be a relatively new member. Please learn the etiquite of this forum. If you don't agree with someone and they don't agree with you, then you just need to agree to disagree.

Talk about the cars, man. I'm sure I'm not speaking for just myself when I say I'm tired of all the

Oh well you fixed my wagon on that one....it was almost a tangible sentence.
I do love your version of sentence punctuation and grammar.

I asked a few legitimate questions why are you so quick to get so very angry and hostile?
You calling my car ugly is taken as a complement,
Many thanks and have a wonderful weekend...

Priya
I see you are still spewing your non sense.
I see you are still very hung up and very obsessed and a bit jealous, no denying it.
For the Last time I never said the "base" model I used the 350/300 as one example of several engine options for a certain year but never called it "base", you are too dumb to grasp that.
I see you still want to be lame and try to turn my words all around, I see you do that to lots of people.

You proved your need for attention and the last word by a rather lame double post.

Now let me guess you will be so obsessed and lame as to go send me more private messages about how big a beater my 69 is...it could be worse, far worse, I could own a tired Brown 79 with oyster interior...

Now since I know you will reply over and over, I will be the one to ignore you....
You are now dismissed....Have a great night obsessing and replying to me.

Well said and I asure you I am done but lets see who keeps beating the dead horse...you know that last word thing...perhaps a mod will close the thread the original topic was fuel for this type thing anyway.

It is a beater! it's a POS and even when that car was new it wasn't a vette.

No sports car should be an automatic, a muscle car ok sure not a sports car though.

so again shut your mouth you have no clue what you're talking about your're bashing c4's when anyone in their right mind would take a nice late model c4 over that POS u have.

Oh hell...I just tossed bread on the water to make that mullet jump.
Very bitter, angry, jealous fellow....I am missing how my car looks anything like the Corvette Summer car...

Do you perhaps drink whisky for breakfast?

I see spelling and grammar still eludes you.
It should be "your" in this case not "your're" which isn't a word,
Perhaps this will help you grasp it,

http://www.wikihow.com/Use-You're-and-Your

So Mr Happy joy joy
Beater, POS, only people who have said that are admitted jealous.

The 1969 Title does read Corvette....the VIN is Corvette so it IS a Vette.

I know looking for gears with a stick is fun but I wanted to let the cruiser shift for me and was thrilled to find a 69 Automatic.....if that makes it a muscle car rather than a sports car so be it...I am sure all the other automatic owners will agree with you on your point.

Perhaps you need to do a poll would a person rather own a 69 corvette or a C4....hum.

Seems since all you and your sidekick want to do is pick poke and stir negativity I will have to dismiss and ignore you too.
Have a great night replying to me.

I post my car and the best the lame-o's can do is whine that it is a beater POS and has an automatic...it's no small wonder neither or them post pictures of their car...

Now you will have her obsessing and scolding you....

How you been doing?

Thanks for the kind words...took 8 months to find the right one, it was steal, straight and the frame is almost rust free for a 40 yo car, it has just over 60K miles, sat in a garage from 82 until I bought it.
I can't wait to do my magic on it but in the meantime I am anxious to get it back from the engine builder and have some fun with the purists at the local cruise...free Bottle of soda to the purist who can find the most incorrect things about it.....

Hey, who cares what the purists find, it's a great looking car and I would gladly add it to the garage. What are your plans with it? I know you were into body mods last time we spoke..............

Dude ru serious? if you think anyone is jealous that you own a 69 vette with 74ish fenders and a corvette summer front end ur crazy.

your car is a hunk of **** and you know it so get real.

if you want a 69 make the dang thing look like a 69 again instead of a later c3.

this is a 69 vette, yours looks NOTHING like that. It might be a 69 by vin number but thats about it these days with your car pal.
