On the first prototype vette posted the headlights are . I highly doubt the production car will look like that; looks too expensive to build, especially during a time where they should be concerned with lowering the price.
I was never really too fond of any of these new cars trying to look like old models....I really do not like the "new" Camaro too much...but this "new" C3 isn't bad at all...love the 68/69 vents but you knew I would...
I saw the Stingray prototype in Philly last month. It was in the Chevrolet display at the new car show. The basic shape and profile of the car are pretty attractive, when you see it in person. The front and rear treatment though, don't work for me at all. I can't get excited about the split rear window, either.

But that Stingray emblem is really sharp!
In it's present form it DOES look way to expensive to build. If you tone the whole thing down a bit and take all those sharpe angles and large openings from the front and rear based on the profile I bet there is somewhat of a preview of the C7 under there.
There are better design studies out there. Shinoda had a chance how about Foose? He might surprise everybody. If that is going to be the next corvette, it looks like I won't be shopping for one.
