thanks Alan for the plug on my car. right now the trany is out so I can get the speedo to work and get the noise out of the clutch. I got a lot of complements on my car from all kinds of NCRS members. that made my day. but I will have it figured out sooner or latter.
but there was a lot of nice cars there. I loved the black on blue fuelie with no radio and heater
Hi,
I was REALLY lucky.
I was fortunate to be part of the Operations team for 68-69 cars (with WarBonnet), AND also 70-72 cars.
We get to ask the owners to start them... so we get to HEAR all the good parts. A nice selection of 427/435s, a 454/425, a couple of LT-!s, and couple of 350/350 cars.
WHAT a pleasure!
Regards,
Alan
My friend drove down there from RI in his 66 427/425, 5spd. I do believe it is in the 3rd pic. Do you remember if it had RI plates? sure looks like it.
Hi karol,
I don't remember the tag and the it doesn't show in my other pictures. That car was in the 'Sportsman' area, and was there on Thursday already.
A VERY 'serious' looking car.
Regards,
Alan

That must be music to any Corvette guy's ears.
Thanks for sharing Alan.
Thanks for posting up the photo's Alan. Anymore??????????
I missed this event due to illness, still not feeling to well. I would have loved to have seen the 68 Black Roadster up close...it does look stunning in the photo posted.
PS...Chevelle???? Whats a Chevelle??????? Just kidding NowhereMan, I've owned several 67, 70 BB Chevelle's...looks like you're well on your way to an award winner with that one.
Hi Gregg,
I'm sorry you missed the meet. I was looking for you.
I believe I heard that there were over 100 cars judged and that number again on display in various classes.
Hope you're 100% soon.
Regards,
Alan
You can see the 8 cars in the 68-69 class and the 8 in the 70-72 class.
At one point NoWhere had the hood up and the car drew 11 people (I counted) in about 10 seconds. It's a VERY cool old car!!!
Allen,
Nice pics. You must of had a blast.
The True American Sports car. How can anyone not appreciate the heritage of this car.
Ever read the book, All Corvettes are Red. I just finished it a couple weeks ago. What a challenge it must have been for the guys developing the C5. Another great chaprter in the story of Corvette.
