72 AIM - Differential

72 AIM - Differential

Where in the AIM for a 72 is an exploded view of the differential. Im trying to determine the proper torque for the bolts that secure the differential cover as will as some info on the "air vent".

It won't be in the AIM as the diff came into the plant as an assembly.
Service manual says the carrier cover torque is 50 Lb-Ft.

The air vent is a filter that plugs into a small hole at the top of either the diff or the cover. Hard to get to with the diff installed.

As mentioned, the AIM only details the work done at the Corvette assembly plant. Anything built there will be shown in the AIM; anything built by other GM or supplier facilities will only be shown in the sub-assembly or finished assembly state (as the engine, transmission, differential, etc. would be).
